You will be asked to complete an encounter form and select your tests. This information allows the laboratory to accurately identify you and match your vital statistics with the appropriate reference (normal) ranges for the test you have performed. Your current address and telephone number is needed so your results can be mailed to you. If there is a problem with your specimen or test results, the laboratory will need to contact you.
Specimen Collection:
Most tests require a blood sample to be taken by a phlebotomist. This entails a needle stick in the arm and approximately 5-15ml (1/2 fluid oz. or 1 TBS) of blood is extracted into a vacutainer tube. Other tests may require a urine or stool specimen.
Your Time is Valuable...That is why MyLab is designed to streamline your lab information directly to you. Our knowledgeable staff will expedite your ordering process and specimen collection. In most cases, results are mailed the following day.
